Slate is a television calendar operated by Stillridge Labs. By creating an account or using the service you agree to these terms. They are deliberately short, because the service is small and free.
Slate shows you when episodes of television programmes are scheduled to air, based on data from TVmaze, and lets you track what you have watched. It does not host, stream, link to, or provide access to any video content of any kind.
Do not:
Access may be suspended or removed if any of these happen. With a service this small, that decision is made by a person, not a system.
Slate may accept voluntary donations toward hosting and development. A donation is a gift, not a purchase. It buys no subscription, no feature, no priority and no service level, and every account has access to exactly the same thing whether or not anyone has given anything. There are no paid tiers.
Because nothing is being sold, donations are not refundable and are not tax-deductible. If you donate by mistake, write to [email protected] and it will be sorted out.
Slate is provided as-is and free to use. There is no uptime commitment, no support commitment, and no guarantee that it will continue to exist. It runs on a single machine and may be unavailable for maintenance, hardware failure, or because a power cable was unplugged. Schedule data comes from a third party and may be wrong, late, or missing; do not rely on it for anything that matters.
What Slate stores and what happens to it is described in the Privacy Policy. Your follows and watched history remain yours. Stillridge Labs claims no ownership of them and does not sell or share them.
Keep your own copy of anything you would be upset to lose. Deletion is immediate and permanent, and there is no mechanism to restore an account after it is closed.
Programme and episode information is provided by TVmaze and is used under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike licence. That attribution appears on every page and must not be removed.
To the extent the law allows, Stillridge Labs is not liable for any loss arising from the use of, or inability to use, this service - including missed programmes, lost viewing history, or service downtime. Nothing in these terms limits any liability that cannot lawfully be limited.
These terms may change. The date at the top will change with them. If a change is significant, it will be described rather than made quietly.
These terms are governed by the laws of Alberta, Canada.
